StableLiquid FIX Price Feed API

FIX Price Feed API

Industry-Standard Market Data Connectivity for B2B Partners. Connect your pricing or market data infrastructure to StableLiquid through a dedicated FIX price-feed interface. Designed for approved technology partners, the connection supports live quote subscriptions, top-of-book bid and ask updates, and structured access to agreed instrument symbols.

StableLiquid supports FIX 4.3 with FIX 4.4 framing available on request, authenticated pricing-only sessions, bid/offer snapshots and continuous price updates. The feed supports up to 10 updates per second per symbol, with instrument availability defined by each client's agreed symbol list. FIX feed access is provided by arrangement.

Market data only. This interface does not accept trading orders or provide execution services.

4.3

FIX 4.3 Protocol

FIX 4.3 is supported; FIX 4.4 framing is available on request.

10/s

Streaming Price Updates

Subscribe to a symbol's initial market snapshot and subsequent quote updates, with up to 10 updates per second per symbol. Faster source ticks are conflated into the latest transmitted quote.

B/O

Bid & Offer Quotes

Full top-of-book snapshots include bid and offer; quoted size, when provided, is indicative, not firm executable liquidity.

TLS

Secure Partner Access

Per-partner FIX sessions, login credentials, IP allow-listing, and TLS supported natively or through a taker-side TLS tunnel.

SYM

Flexible Symbol Coverage

Supported symbols and naming conventions are agreed during onboarding, including spot-style symbols, _OTC instruments and _AGG aggregated crypto references.

V/W

Subscription Lifecycle

Request a snapshot, subscribe for ongoing updates, or cancel subscriptions using standard FIX market data messages.

Technical summary

FIX price feed: confirmed implementation by feature
FeatureConfirmed implementation
ProtocolFIX 4.3; FIX 4.4 framing on request
TransportTCP; TLS native or through stunnel
AccessIP allow-list; issued CompID and credentials
Quote formatFull top-of-book bid and offer snapshots
Market subscriptionsSnapshot and streaming updates; cancellation
Quote update ceilingUp to 10 per second per symbol
Instrument namingAgreed per partner; _OTC and _AGG suffixes where applicable
AvailabilityCrypto, OTC and index instruments update around the clock; FX and metals follow underlying market hours
Order executionNot supported on the FIX price feed
Historical replayNot supported by this FIX session; partner must retain its own tick history

Operational clarification. A feed connection is for pricing and display. Quotes are not a firm executable offer. If both upstream price sources are stale or an underlying market is closed, fresh ticks may stop; the API does not currently send a separate stale-price flag. Integrators must implement their own quote-aging logic, reconnect handling, and tick recording if history or replay is needed.

Developer notes Session and message behaviour (public summary)

Full details, test connectivity and credentials are provided privately to approved counterparties. The following summarises the documented behaviour so you can plan an integration.

  • Session model. One authenticated FIX pricing session per taker over TCP, with TLS either native or via a TLS tunnel, restricted to allow-listed source IPs. Access is market data only.
  • Sequence numbers. Sequence numbers are reset at logon. The session does not persist messages; a ResendRequest is answered with a GapFill rather than replayed ticks.
  • Subscribing. MarketDataRequest (35=V) with SubscriptionRequestType (263) = 0 snapshot, 1 snapshot plus streaming updates, 2 cancel.
  • Quotes. MarketDataSnapshotFullRefresh (35=W) carries the top-of-book bid (MDEntryType 0) and offer (MDEntryType 1), with optional tick identifier and indicative sizes.
  • Rejections. Invalid symbols or duplicate request IDs receive MarketDataRequestReject (35=Y). Order, replace, cancel and quote-request messages are not supported and receive BusinessMessageReject (35=j).
  • Rate and conflation. Up to 10 updates per second per symbol; faster upstream ticks are conflated into the latest transmitted quote. No guaranteed latency, uptime or full-depth book is advertised.
  • Staleness. No explicit stale indicator is sent. Monitor quote age on your side and treat ageing quotes conservatively.
  • Symbols and entitlements. Symbol lists and naming (_OTC, _AGG suffixes where applicable) are agreed per taker; a catalog listing does not imply entitlement.

The four-page FIX feed specification is shared on request after confirmation that it is approved for release to your organisation. Hostnames, CompIDs, credentials and test environment details are never published on this site.

Contact our technical team to request the FIX feed specification, confirm eligible instruments, register your integration IP addresses, and receive testing details and onboarding credentials.

Request FIX API Access

The StableLiquid FIX interface is market-data-only. It does not offer a trading session, accept orders, or guarantee liquidity or execution. Quotes and sizes are for indicative pricing and display; the recipient is responsible for any independent execution and associated risk.
